Tip of the week: Ask the right questions

12-10-2009

It is like a splash of cold water in our faces when Seth Godin, on his blog, provides us with relevant questions that we have to ask ourselves before starting up a new web project:

  • What is the aim of the website?
  • Who are the users?
  • Do we want to tell a story?
  • Or maybe sell a product?
  • How do the users find the website?
  • Who will update the website?
  • And how often?

Seth’s blog post is grist to our mill. A successful web project requires good ideas, thoughtfulness and prioritisations. Otherwise failure is inevitable.

Seth Godin is, according to himself, author, speaker and agent of change. Here at INET-DESIGN, we would like to ad marketing expert and genius to the list. He has written ten international bestsellers about marketing and business development and is one of the leading thinkers within the area of entrepreneurship.

If you would like more good advice on websites from Seth Godin, we recommend his thought-provoking book The Big Red Fez.

Or, if you would like to take a step further, you can contact us and get ideas and input to a successful start on your web project.
